Saturday visitors to Asbury Park’s downtown can enter a social media race for a host of select prizes.

A group of city merchants have come together to offer Selfie Saturday, being held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The rules are simple: take a selfie inside a participating business, post it to Facebook and/or Instagram, and tag the business in the post for entry. The more merchants you visit and tag, the chances you have to win one of the Downtown Asbury gift baskets. But, only one Facebook & one Instagram entry per business is allowed.

Participating business are: Backward Glances, Heaven Art & Antiques, Nita Ideas, Shelter Home, Kur Wellness Studios, The Showroom, Nails by Ginny, Words!, Tao Massage, Bond & Bangs Apothecary, Asbury Park Moto Club, Cookman Creamery, Vintage Subs, and Asbury Park Cigar & Tobacco Co.

According to organizers, participants don’t have to visit all 14 establishments but the more merchants one visits and tags, the more chances there are to win.
