Third Annual Circle of Mercy breakfast kicks off at 8 a.m. Oct 7

Yates [at right], who serves as the New Jersey Reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News, will deliver remarks during the 8:30 a.m. Oct. 7 free event at the Springwood Avenue middle school.
“The Circle of Mercy Event is one of the Academy’s signature fundraisers, and we are delighted that Toni Yates will join us for this year’s breakfast,” Executive Director Sister Carol Ann Henry said. “Sisters Academy is dedicated to providing our students with an education of excellence that empowers them to fulfill their vision of their future. Support from the community is essential to our mission.”
Founded in 1997, Sisters Academy of New Jersey is a Mercy Center sponsored independent school for girls in grades five through eight. Their mission is to help empower young women to break out of their community’s cycle of poverty in order to fulfill the goals they set for themselves and their futures.
Mercy Center, also located in Asbury Park, provides the chronically-underserved population of Monmouth County with social and educational services.
The fundraising event also will serves as an opportunity for the larger community to learn about Sisters Academy and how to support their transformative work and programs, organizers said.
