Workforce Development and Police Training on Agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at Monday in Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Plaza.
A Special Executive Session will be held 4 p.m. prior to the regularly scheduled 6 p.m. workshop.
The public participation session takes place near the end of the meeting, after comments from city officials. Items on the meeting’s agenda include:
• Special Executive meeting discussions regarding a financial agreement with waterfront master redeveloper iStar pertaining to the 1101 Ocean Avenue project as well as boardwalk redeveloper Madison Marquette’s agreement pertaining to how 14 parking spots that will be taken offline during the rebuild of the Fifth Avenue Pavilion will be handled.
• During the workshop meeting, city officials will consider special event applications for the annual Homecoming Parade, Harvest Fest, RunAPalooza [date only], a Columbus Day Reenactment, and the AP AYF Pep Rally.
• City Manager Michael Capabianco is expected to discuss a best practices checklist, insurance renewal with Intergovernmental JIF for the 2017 to 2019 time period, workforce development, police training, and a storm water ordinance.
