Trinity Church Resurrects Annual Thrift Sale
Friday Preview Bash launches Saturday event; donations accepted thru Wednesday
This weekend Trinity Episcopal Church will resurrect its Annual Thrift Sale.
“Trinity’s last Thrift sale was October 2013,” Warden Bill Pearson said. “Prior to that date it had been an annual event for five years.”
This time around, the Asbury Avenue Church known for its missions to feed the hungry, will relaunch the fundraising event with a Friday night preview bash.
To be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, the event will be an evening to enjoy music, wine and cheese, 50/50, and an opportunity to find that special treasure, Pearson said. A suggested donation of $20 will be collected at the door.
The thrift sale will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, featuring furniture, houseware items, collectibles, antiques, kitchenware, baby and children’s items, electronics, games,
knick-knacks, jewelry, tools, school supplies, and sports equipment.
Anyone wanting to donate items can do so through Wednesday, but take note that clothing, shoes, books, TV cabinets, mattresses, old televisions and broken item will not be part of accepted.
“Pretty much all other goods in decent shape are welcome,” Pearson said.
Monies raised from the thrift sale will go directly to supporting the ministries and missions of Trinity Church.
