Hamilton Residents Arrested on Drug Possession Charges
Motor Vehicle Stop For Littering Uncovers Heroin, Marijuana & Paraphernalia
Two Hamilton residents face drug possession charges following a Friday night motor vehicle stop along Route 35, according to an Ocean Township Police news release.
Adam Kliewe, 32, was charged with possession of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, and for being a fugitive from justice due to an active arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department in Pennsylvania.
Cheyenne Burgess, 28, was charged with possession of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and littering, officials said.
The motor vehicle stop occurred near 7:12 p.m. Friday after patrol officers witnessed the passenger [Burgess] discarding items out of the car window. Further investigation revealed that the items were empty bags of heroin.
The driver [Kliewe] was found to be in possession of a hypodermic syringe, heroin and other assorted narcotics.
Kliewe was transported to the Monmouth County Jail and Burgess was charged and released on a summons, pending a future court appearance, officials said.
Detectives Michael Legg and Christopher Brady were the officers involved.
