Northeast Asbury Park Experiencing Power Outages

Power expected to be restored by midnight; flood advisory in place through 8:45 p.m.

Friday’s stormy weather brought with it high winds and an updated flood warning issued by the Asbury Park Police Department that is expected to remain in place until 8:45 p.m.

By 5 p.m. the department issued an advisory that power outages were occurring in the northeast section of town.

“JCP&L is expecting the power to be fully restored between 6:30 p.m. and midnight,” the written notice states.

City officials advise anyone with questions or concerns visit the energy company’s website at: www.firstenergycorp.com.

According to JCP&L’s website, there were 737 Monmouth County customers without power at that time of this posting.
