ASBURY PARK MUSIC & FILM FESTIVAL AWARD WINNERS
Just Before the Dawn & others garner accolades Sunday at The Asbury
The 2017 Asbury Park Music & Film Festival delivered its film submission award winners Sunday at The Asbury, the city’s newest hotel and entertainment venue.
The award event was hosted by two time Gracie Award winner and Q104.3 Jim Kerr Rock and Roll Morning Show host Shelli Sonstein.
Below is the list of recipients:
Asbury Park Press Award: Just Before the Dawn, directed by: Tom Jones
RWJ Barnabas Health Award: Taylor Tote “Fighter” Infinite Love For Kids Fighting Cancer, directed by Kostas Lymperopoulos
Asbury Park Music Foundation Award: Find Your Groove, directed by Mike Kirk
Best Animation: Where Do the Seasons Get Their Names, directed by Amanda Duncan
Best Music Documentary: Night Bird Song: The Incandescent Life of Thomas Chapin, directed by Stephanie J Castillo
Sony Pictures Award: Best Short Film Takes: Ana and Anthony in Love, directed by Lauren Dunn
Best Music Video Award: Bones, directed by Andy Bond
New Jersey’s Own Award: The Other Side of Love, directed by Tyrell Jason
Best Feature Award: Find Your Groove, directed by Mike Kirk
The annual APMFF is held in partnership with RWJ Barnabas Health and the Asbury Park Press in support of the Asbury Park Music Foundation’s mission to bring music education, instruments and social connection opportunities to the city’s under served youth. Funds help support programs held in collaboration with The Hope Academy Charter School, the Boy’s and Girl’s Club Hip Hop Institute and the Asbury Park Summer Recreation Music Camp.
