Fourth of July Weekend Events
Remember Jones Adds EP Release Show & Paramount Hosts Firework Viewing
Two Fourth of July weekend events were announced Monday.
While the Remember Jones July 4th EP Release show at The Asbury has sold out, organizers have added a second show, to be held 7 p.m. July 3 at the Baronet rooftop bar.
The local 15-piece band will debut Tranquilizer, a follow up to the highly acclaimed “Ladies and Gentlemen, Remember Jones!”
Frontman Anthony D’Amato, described as a one-of-a-kind soul/pop singer, storyteller and bandleader with a throwback vibe and authentic energy that bring audiences to another time and place, announced the new show Monday via social media.
Organizers said the event is rain or shine, “so if the weather’s not alright, we’ll still be having the party downstairs in Asbury Hall.”
The Asbury is located at 210 Fifth Avenue. Tickets are $22 via theasburyhotel.com.
The AP Boardwalk also has announced it will open the Paramount Theatre Mezzanine Room & Balcony for a very special birds-eye-view of the Independence Day Fireworks, sponsored by iStar – the city’s waterfront redeveloper.
Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the event features music by Asbury Park DJ Foggy Notion. All ages are welcomed but children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be a cash bar for guests 21 and over, organizers said.
The event will take place weather permitting and full refunds will be issued if inclement weather cancels the fireworks.
The Paramount Theatre is located at 1300 Ocean Ave. Tickets are $20, available via an eventbrite.com page.
