The Downtown Neighbors Association will hold its first public meeting Saturday morning at DJ’s Delights Deli & Restaurant, located at 620 Mattison Ave.

The gathering will serve as an organizational and informational meeting, organizers said.

On the agenda will be discussions regarding living conditions in the downtown [officially known as the Central Business District].

“This would be a voluntary group of neighbors who seek to preserve the strengths of our neighborhood, build a sense of community, and address any issues that may arise,” organizers said in a written statement. “The organization would be representative of the thousands of individuals that reside in the area between Main Street, Summerfield Avenue, Grand Avenue and Lake Avenue.”

Organizers will be available at 9 a.m., with the meeting kicking off at 9:30 a.m.  To RSVP, email DNAofAP@gmail.com.
