Upgrades to the Main Street water line will begin Monday night and is expected to run through Thursday, City Manager Michael Capabianco said at a recent City Council meeting. Motorists should expect some traffic flow changes and delays as the work will be done along a travel lane.
The infrastructure upgrade is among a host of ongoing projects in the city. Updates of other projects was given by city engineering consultant Christine Ballard of T&M Associates.

Park Avenue work is now complete, she said.
Work along Steiner Place is still ongoing. Discussions are taking place with NJ Transit to develop a new parking layout of the heavily used corridor.
Fourth Avenue road improvement project will begin with sewer work, Ballard said.
The Springwood and Atkins traffic signal will likely include working with the utility company to relocate overhead wires.
The Springwood Avenue sewer project has been designed and is awaiting permits and plan approval from NJDOT and NJ Transit. Construction is expected to begin in the fall.
The Main Street Road Diet work is expected to begin in the spring of next year.
