Eatontown man charged with child endangerment
OTPD: Man, 32, gave 13-year-old girl edible marijuana without her knowledge
An Eatontown man was arrested on child endangerment charges after police received a tip that he knowingly gave a 13- year-old female family member edible marijuana, Ocean Township Police Department announced Thursday afternoon.
Eric Morales, 32, of Eatontown was charged with child endangerment, distribution and possession of marijuana, officials said in a written news release.
Officials said an investigation was launched after they received the tip on Aug 8.The investigation revealed that Morales was with the victim, who was staying in Ocean Township, on Aug 6 when he gave her the edible marijuana.
“The 13-year-old victim suffered an altered state of mind and Morales failed to provide her with any type of medical assistance,” officials said.
Morales was arrested near 4:15 p.m., processed and transported to Monmouth County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.
