ESTC Hosts Annual Garden Tour

Self guided tour runs from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday

The City’s Environmental and Shade Tree Commission [ESTC] will hold its Annual Garden Tour from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday.

ESTC members and volunteers maintain the city’s green spaces and gardens from March through October. This includes planting, weeding, cleanups, small tree trimming and pruning.

The featured gardens include:

The Rain Garden, located at Main Street and Springwood Avenue

The Community Garden, located at Memorial Drive and Bangs Avenue

Merchants Park, located at Main Street and Cookman Avenue

Footbridge Garden, located at Emory Street and Lake Avenue

Press Plaza, located at Cookman and Mattison avenues

Memorial Grove, located at Library Square Park at Grand Avenue between Asbury and First avenues

Trolley Triangle, located at Emory Street and Eighth Avenue

Boat Launch, located at Main Street and Seventh Avenue

The ESTC meets 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month and, along with volunteers, maintains the gardens from 9 to 11 a.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
