Assembly members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey have launched a clothing drive in support of a Neptune City family who lost everything in a Sept. 21 fire.

The family of eight was displaced following a devastating fire that destroyed their West Sylvania Avenue home and most of their belongings, including much of their clothing, Houghtaling and Downey said in a written statement. We are encouraging local residents to help ease the family’s burden by donating their new or gently-used clothing.

The family is in need of:

Girls size 12 pants, small shirts, 7 shoe

Girls size 14 pants, medium shirts, 6 shoe

Women’s size 14 pant, large shirt, 7 shoe

Boys 2T pants/shirt, 8/9 shoe

The clothing drive will run through Oct. 11. Donations can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the local Assembly Members headquarters located at 802 West Park Ave, Suite 221, in Ocean Township.
