TR Man Remitted To County Jail For Second Time In Three Days
OTPD: 29 yr old charged w/ heroin possession twice burglarized The Greek Spot
A 29-year-old Toms River man again landed himself in jail for allegedly burglarizing a Route 35 eatery for the second time within three days, Ocean Township Police Department officials announced in a written statement.
Kevin Soloman was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools, possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia and syringes.
Police first responded near 12:55 a.m. last Tuesday to The Greek Spot on Route 35 to investigate a commercial burglary. Their investigation led them to Soloman, who was arrested the following day by Neptune Township Police Department for unrelated charges. He was charged with burglary, theft, and possession of burglary tools.
Soloman, who was remanded to Monmouth County Jail, pending an initial court appearance, was released from custody at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
By Friday at 9:23 a.m. someone fitting his description, reportedly burglarized The Greek Spot once again. Detectives located Soloman in Neptune Township and also arrested him for an outstanding Asbury Park Police Department warrant.
Soloman was again remanded to Monmouth County Jail, where he awaits a new court appearance.
Officers involved in the investigation include Detectives Michael Legg, Christopher Brady and Greg Martone. Det. Jesse Orbach assisted in the initial investigation.
