APPD Issues Weekend Traffic & Parking Advisory

Road Closures & Travel Delays Expected for Oktoberfest, Zombie Walk & March For Each Other

The Asbury Park Police Department has issued a traffic advisory ahead of weekend events expected to draw thousands to the city.

Periodic road closures and traffic delays include:

From noon Friday through 11 p.m. Monday, Press Plaza will be closed for Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten’s Oktoberfest.

No parking will be allowed from the 500 to 700 blocks of Cookman Avenue from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday for the Asbury Park Zombie Walk. No vehicular traffic will be allowed along Cookman Avenue from Main Street to Asbury Avenue, and Asbury Avenue from Kingsley Street to Ocean Avenue from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

On Sunday, expect delays along Cookman Avenue between Grand and Asbury avenues due to the March For Each Other, being held from 5 to 7 p.m.
