US Marshals Aid APPD In Apprehension of Red Bank Man
Kelso: Terroristic Threat Suspect Found Hiding In Closet Under A Pile Of Clothes
A Red Bank man has been arrested in connection to a Saturday terroristic threat investigation, Deputy Chief David Kelso announced.
Jarred Boynton, 23, Red Bank is charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and terroristic threats.
He was located Wednesday at a Red Bank home hiding in a closet underneath a pile of clothing by members of the Asbury Park Police Street Crime Unit and Detective Bureau, with the aid of the US Marshal’s Service, Kelso said.
The arrest stems from response by the Department’s Patrol Unit Saturday of an armed subject and possible gunshots fired in the area of First Avenue. At that time, it was determined that Boynton was involved in a domestic dispute and was in possession of a handgun.
Kelso said the handgun used in the crime was recovered.
Boynton was remanded to Monmouth County Jail, pending a first appearance. Asbury Park Police Detectives Joe Leon and Dillon Gourley conducted the investigation.
