Parking Permits Now On Sale
New Online Purchase Option & No Rate Increases For 2018
The City of Asbury Park has announced that its 2018 parking permits are now available.
This year, there will be no rate increases and an online purchase option has been added, Transportation Manager Michael Manzella said. Many of the changes were based on public feedback.
“The Parking Committee continuously evaluates input from residents and employees to try and improve parking availability and regulations across the City,” Manzella said. “The meetings are the first Wednesday of every month, and additional feedback is always welcomed.”
The residential and employee only permits will be available via the utility beginning Dec. 18 and via online purchase on Jan. 1 via thepermitportal.com.
And while you can register, download the needed forms and submit online, the permits will need to be picked up at the Parking Utility Office, located at 1201 Springwood Ave.
Residential Parking Permits:
There are no changes to the residential permit fees; $90 for the first permit, $120 for the second, $150 for the third, and $180 for the fourth permit.
Resident-only parking will run 24 hours per day within the marked zones
Resident-only parking has been removed from First and Third Avenues
A permit replacement fee has been established for any damaged or lost hang tags
Bangs Avenue Garage permits will be available to Zone 4 residents only.
Current permits for the garage must be returned by Dec 29.
Once all access cards have been accounted for, permits for the garage will be reissued beginning on Jan 8.
The 2018 Bangs Avenue Garage permit users will be given a temporary on-street parking placard until the access cards are reissued.

In conjunction with the replacement of parking pay stations, Smart Cards are being replaced by Decals, to be placed in the lower corner of a driver’s side windshield.
