Business Plan Tutorial

Women With Vision Network Founder Rev Sandra Gonzalez will host How To Write A Business Plan from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Neptune Township Library [25 Neptune Blvd]. Held in conjunction with SCORE of Monmouth County and NJ – PACCI of Monmouth County, the free event aims to empower those with a desire in start their own venture. AP Little League Pancake Breakfast Buffet

The Asbury Park Little League’s 14th Annual Pancake Breakfast Buffet will be held in support of funding registration fees for city youth. Held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School [600 Monroe Ave], the event will also serve as the last opportunity to register kids ages 5 to 15 for the 2018 season. The food is prepared by Leon Calhoun, head cook at the Thurgood Marshall School, with assistance from volunteer Alexis Troche-Gomes. Tickets are $9 for adults and $4 for children under 12. AP Complete Street Coalition Rides & Meets

The Asbury Park Complete Streets Coalition will host a Community Bike Ride, leaving 1 p.m. Saturday from Springwood Avenue Park [at the corner of Atkins Avenue]. All ages are welcome, and kids 12 and under must wear helmets. The Coalition’s next meeting will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Johnny Mac House of Spirits [208 Main St]. On the agenda are discussions surrounding their participation in New Jersey Complete Streets Summit on March 24 at Mercer County College, and discussion about growing the network and mission of making streets safe for all who use them. AP Historical Society ‘Think Tank’

The Asbury Park Historical Society Events/Fundraising Committee will meet 7 p.m. Feb 5 at the Stephen Crane House [508 Fourth Avenue]. Hosted by Trustees Teddy Chomko and Eileen Chapman, the night’s agenda includes brainstorming on creating fundraising initiatives like  meet-and-greet events, an annual recognition dinner, historic house tour, antique show, and/or flea market. “This will probably be one of the society’s most active, and probably most fun, committees so we are urging people with the ideas, resources, and commitment to creating exciting events to turn out,” APHS President Don Stine said.
