A man was fatally shot at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Bond Street last night, according to Police Chief Mark Kinmon.

“We have everybody on deck dealing with the investigation and we’ll see how things develop,” Kinmon said.

This is the third fatal shooting this month. Investigations into the previous two shootings are active as well.

“These recent shootings are unfortunate just like all of them are, but we want the public to know we have a lot of men and women here in the police department and [Monmouth County] Prosecutor’s Office that are working extremely hard day and night to prevent incidents like this and to investigate and bring them to a successful conclusion,” the chief said.
