Famed Choreographer Lane Napper Returns To Axelrod
Kids & Teen Dancing For TV & Film Masterclasses Being Held Sunday
Famed television actor and choreographer Lane Napper will administer two masterclasses Sunday at Axelrod Performing Arts Center.
The Dancing for TV & Film workshops will be held 1 p.m. for ages 7 to 13, and 2:30 p.m. for ages 14 and up.
Students are asked to come warmed up and ready to dance, officials said.
At the end of each workshop, students will perform a routine and Napper will conduct a Q&A with students and parents.
Napper is not only known for his roles in front of the screen as guidance counselor Lane Alexander on Nickelodeon’s Victorious, on Suddenly Susan and iCarly, but for helping professional actors as an acting and dialogue coach, dance instructor, choreographer, and director.
He has taught workshops across the nation, training children and adults, beginners and advanced students.
TV and Hollywood studios, like Warner Bros., Touchstone, Nickelodeon, CBS, Discovery Channel, Disney and Fox-TV, have hired Napper directly to coach their clients.
This summer, Lane will return to Axelrod Performing Arts Center to direct and choreograph High School Musical.
To reserve a spot for the $45 Dancing for TV & Film workshop and for more information, visit www.axelrodartscenter.com or call (732) 531-9106. Space is limited, organizers said.
