City Council Approves No Beach Badge Fee Increases
2018 Season Launches May 27 Weekends Only Through June 15 then daily through Sept 3
The 2018 summer season will come with no increases to the city’s beach fees.
The City Council approved a 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday operational schedule that runs from June 16 to Sept. 3, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekend and holiday operational schedule that will launch on May. 27.
The daily beach fees are $5 per adult Monday through Friday and $7 for weekend and holidays.
Children under $12 and, active duty military and their dependents, and disabled veterans enter for free. Seasonal badges are $70 per adult; $20 for teens [13 to 17] and seniors [62 and over].
The approval also authorizes the Summer Beach Promotion agreement with NJ Transit, which offers round trip transportation and beach ticket package.
Beach lockers for seasonal beach pass holders are $225, running from the Friday prior to Memorial Day through Sept. 30.
Badges are available at boardwalk located booths, or via online via Viply, at pay stations and the Beach Office.
