Jack Johnson, Incubus, Social Distortion, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Blondie, and Brandi Carlile will headline Danny Clinch’s two-day fall Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park.

In total there are 25 shows slated for the music, surf, art and food event being held 12:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sept 29 and 30 in Bradley and Atlantic parks and along North Beach.

Milky Chance, the Front Bottoms, Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, Highly Suspect, Soja, The Menzingers, Langhorne Slim & the Lost At Last band, G. Love & Special Sauce, Deer Tick, Twin Peaks, Rayland Baxter, our own Nicole Atkins, Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket, Jesse Malin, The Parlor Mob, Battery Electric, Tangiers Blues Band and Deal Casino are all a part of the bill.

The Sea.Hear.Now Festival, is the brainchild of nationally renowned music industry photographer and filmmaker Danny Clinch, who opened his Transparent gallery in January 2017 at The Asbury, the city’s newest hotel and entertainment venue.

“Sea.Hear.Now is a long time dream of ours,” Clinch, a Toms River native, said in a written statement. “To have our musician, surfer and artist friends come to Asbury Park this September to play some music, ride some waves and make some art. We come from the Jersey Shore and we believe in Asbury Park. It is one of the coolest beach cities in America, if not the world. We are ready to go!”

Clinch is known for hosting pop up concert events featuring national and global music performers at the Fifth Avenue and Kingsley Street gallery. Those shows have included performances from Phil Lesh & Terrapin Family, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Gary Clark Jr, to name a few.

The  Expression Sessions surf talent will feature Sam Hammer, Balaram Stack, Rob Kelly, Quincy Davis, Mike Gleason, Andrew Gesler, Pat Schmidt, Clay Pollioni, Tom Ihnken, and Cassidy McClain throughout the weekend. We’ll announce more details on this soon.   

Here’s a quick breakdown:

Tickets are $99 for the two-day event, with a $29 general admission layaway payment plan option being offered. Prices may increase without notice and children 7 and under are free with a ticketed adult.

Food from regional and local restaurants will include vegan, vegetarian & gluten-free options.

Band and festival merchandise, as well as an array of art and specialty items will be offered from a host of vendors.

Giveaways at sponsor areas, free water refill stations, bars and concession areas will be available throughout the parks and beach.

Become an ambassador by selling tickets to earn points to redeem a three-day general admission ticket[s] and/or VIP upgrades.

VIP tickets include access to the lounges with relaxed seating, shade and premium air-conditioned restrooms, complimentary snacks, complimentary select beverages, and more.

Those opting to attend as a group can win prizes, like a portrait session with Danny Clinch, or access to one of the Exclusive Lounges. Fest With Friends gives the option to purchase your ticket, name your group, and then invite your friends.

The inaugural Sea.Hear.Now Festival is produced by Danny Clinch of Between The Sets, and C3 Presents, the team behind Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Shaky Festivals, and more.
