Okay Pug owners, there may be a some clouds in the forecast but that should not stand in the way of this weekend’s Sixth Annual Pugapalooza.
Once again, the three-day fundraiser in support of ‘pug life’ kicks off with a 5 to 8 p.m. Friday Meet and Greet at Dark City Brewing Co, located at 1001 Main St. New this year will be participation by the Asbury Dawg food truck and the word in pug land is the new mural inside Dark City features a very special mascot. The suggested door donation is $5.
The main event runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Wonder Bar, located at 1213 Ocean Avenue. Again the suggested admission is $10 and music, drinks, vendors and gift basket raffles are among the featured offerings.

The promenade is the Pugapalooza weekend highlight, with the crinkly faced, stout breed that traces its lineage back to the 16th century showing off glossy coats and a sociable gentle nature.
A panel of judges will cast ballots for not only the Pinkest Pug but also the Pinkest Pug Couple and Grumble [define of three or more pugs], Breech, who is the owner of two pugs, has said.
Pugapalooza is held in support of the Pug Squad, a group of volunteers who fundraise and work to rescue and provide life-sustaining support for senior and special needs dogs.
