Bar Open & New Menu Will Debut Friday By Culinary Team Behind Point Pleasant’s Prime 13
Contrary to social media concerns, Kim Marie’s Eat n Drink Away is not closed.
The Kingsley Street venue has announced that a new menu will debut Friday and until then the bar will remain open.
“Kim Marie’s is open and going through an exciting transformation,” officials said via a social media post. “We’ve brought in the culinary team behind Point Pleasant’s Prime 13 restaurant. They are currently preparing a new menu and training staff. A starter menu will be offered through the weekend and a full menu should debut early next week.
“We are all very excited to offer Asbury Park an improved dining experience,” the management team said. “We look forward to seeing you all soon and the bar will remain open through the transition.”
Kim Marie’s Eat ‘n Drink Away opened in the former Adriatic Restaurant site in December 2013. The venue is named for owner John McGillion’s daughter, who passed away in 2004 at the age of 37. Her degrees, an MS in taxation and an MBA in accounting from Fordham University, are on display over the bar.
Kim Marie’s Eat n Drink Away is located at 1411 Kingsley St. They are open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, visit the website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
