Asbury Park’s own flagship Hoagitos is among the eateries featured in the Travel Channel’s Food Paradise.

The Fast Food Finds episode, featuring Hoagitos chicken, brisket and FUBAR fries, will air at 2 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. June 13, and is available on demand at travelchannel.com.

The popular Asbury Park boardwalk summer container pop up opened in June 2013 with menu featuring high quality food with fast food convenience.

“We pride ourselves on cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients to deliver deliciously new twists on everyday favorites,” owner Mark Spagnuolo said. In May 2016, they opened a year round  brick and mortar venue inside Belmar Plaza.

This year, Hoagitos is rolling out a revamped menu, Spagnuolo said.

“Taking from the success of our fried chicken sandwiches in our Belmar location, we’ll be bringing five new hot sandwiches to the Asbury Park boardwalk,” he said. “We will continue to offer breakfast sandwiches, burger and portobello sliders, and two of our best selling original sandwiches – the Turkey and the BLT.”

The new menu items include:

Forbidden Chicken: Buttermilk Dredged Thigh, Sweet-N-Spicy Glaze, Carrot Daikon Slaw, Roasted Garlic Mayo

Finger Licker: Buttermilk Dredged Thigh, Honey Butter Glaze, Iceberg Lettuce, B&B Pickles, Roasted Garlic Mayo

Dude Ranch: Panko Fried Breast, Bacon, Arugula, Tomato, Onion, B&B Pickles, Buttermilk Ranch

Chicken Chick: Panko Fried Breast, Arugula, Tomato, Onion, Spicy Mayo

Fried Mushroom: Panko Fried Mushroom, Brie, Pickled Onion, Arugula, Thyme Mayo

Along with the new offerings, Hoagitos will offer two customer appreciation give backs.

Fried Chicken Frenzy, offered from 5 to 8 p.m. on June 1, will offer all their fried chicken sandwiches for $3 [the regular price is $6 to $8].

A Bottomless Breakfast will be offered Fridays through Labor Day at the Belmar location. The offer features unlimited breakfast sandwiches and coffee for $5 [dine-in only].

The original sandwiches will still be available to customers at the Belmar location, and can be delivered to Asbury by calling 732-556-6617, Spagnuolo said. Beach deliveries are available.

Hoagitos is located at the Third Avenue entrance on the Asbury Park Boardwalk and at 807 Belmar Plaza in Belmar.
