Jams on the Sand Lineup
Free Thursday Concert Series At The Anchor’s Bend Returns June 21
The free Thursday night concert series Jams on Sand will return this month.
Organizers have announced the lineup will feature a combination of up and coming local and national bands.
New this year will be opening performances from cB3, a new band featuring Chris Buono on guitar, Ralph Tobias on drums – who worked with Adrian Belew and Lauren Hill, and Ben Stivers on keys – who has worked with Gregg Allman, the Bee Gees and Chris Botti.
The lineup includes an array of acts offering everything from funk, soul, and roots rock to jam rock and reggae, organizers said in a written statement.
The concerts run from 5 to 10 pm June 21 to August 30 on the Anchor’s Bend Beach Stage, at the north end of Convention Hall located at 1300 Ocean Avenue.

June 21 – Burlington’s Mihali of Twiddle and Bencoolen from Washington, DC.
June 28 – Pink Talking Fish
July 5 – Kung Fu from New Haven
July 12 – Aqueous from Buffalo, NY
July 19 – Organ Freeman from LA
July 26 – Juice from Boston and Little Stranger from Charleston, SC
Aug 2 – Locos Por Juana from Miami
Aug 9 – Ikebe Shakedown from Brooklyn
Aug 16 – Mungion from Chicago
Aug 23 – Aztec Sun from DC
Aug 30 – New Kingston from Brooklyn [via Jamaica]
In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held inside the Anchor’s Bend promenade or the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall.
