Big Gig To Debut At Danny Clinch Transparent Gallery
Lakehouse Music Academy Student Showcase Runs Oct 5 to 7
Lakehouse Music Academy has announced that its end of semester Big Gig showcase will make its debut Oct 5 to 7 at Danny Clinch Transparent Gallery inside The Asbury at 210 Fifth Avenue.
“It is a dream and a goal of ours at Lakehouse to have the Big Gig at all of the amazing Asbury Park venues, and we’re thrilled that our event is at the Transparent Gallery in October,” Owner Jon Leidersdorff said in a written statement. “Students, families, and friends will be treated to Lakehouse Music Academy bands performing all weekend long, while taking in everything that the gallery has to offer. It will be a true three-day music festival right here in Asbury Park.”
Lakehouse students have performed at The Saint, Stone Pony and the House of Independents. The showcase gives the over 65 student bands that rehearse weekly at the award winning Lake Avenue venue an opportunity to perform before a supportive audience.
It’s younger students, the Cadets [ ages 3–5], Get Started [ages 6-10], and Core [teenagers] groups, will get things started on Saturday and Sunday while the adult Night Sessions group perform Friday through Sunday evenings, organizers said.
This “Big Gig” will be a unique opportunity to see performances from Asbury’s finest local talent surrounded by photographs of the world’s most famous musicians,” Leidersdorff said. “Current icons on the walls and future icons on the stage – it’s not to be missed.”
The event is free and open to the public. A complete schedule is available at lakehousemusicacademy.com, and a more information can be found on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
