DWI Checkpoint: Friday Along Main Street in Asbury Park
Vehicles Pulled From Southbound Lanes Into Municipal Parking Lot

The Monmouth County Driving While Intoxicated [DWI] Task Force will conduct a checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, task force coordinator Chief Michael W. Palmer of the Brielle Police Department said.
The checkpoint will be run from 9 p.m. Friday through 1 a.m. Saturday along Route 71 [Main Street] in Asbury Park.
Task force members and officers from the Asbury Park Police Department will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes into the Municipal Complex parking lot to determine a driver’s sobriety, Palmer said.
