The Asbury Park governing body has announced a public input meeting will be held prior to the creation of a Sunset Lake Master Plan.

T&M Associates, the City’s Engineering firm, will lead the 7 pm Jan 16 discussion, being held in City Council Chambers at 1 Municipal Plaza.

The public’s lake and park suggested improvements will be vetted for inclusion in the Sunset Lake Master Plan, to be presented at a future date.

“Public participation is an important part of this process,” Councilwoman Eileen Chapman said in a written statement. “We will be incorporating the public’s comments from the January 16th meeting into the draft of the Sunset Lake Master Plan, so it’s vital that everyone who loves and enjoys Sunset Lake take part.”
