The City of Asbury Park’s Recreation Committee held its first Family Fun Barbecue on Saturday, at Springwood Avene Park.

The free event, held in conjunction with local schools, featured family-friendly offerings for those raising a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The afternoon included food, music, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities. Children participated in sand art, parachute games, frisbee throwing, and bean bag tosses.
