Incumbents Hold On To Board of Education Seats

Moving Ahead Together's Lesinski, Breech & Latorraca Top Votegetters

The Asbury Park school board election returns are in. According to the unofficial results from the Monmouth County Clerk, incumbents Barbara Lesinski, Connie Breech and Dominic Latorraca were voted back into office. 

The three were challenged by Diversity is our Strength ticket, comprised of Vincent Martino, Eduardo Soria Gonzales and Anthony Remy. Independent candidate Norman E Roberson sought one of the three open seats. 

According to the County Clerk election results, 4,788 cast ballots. The vote tallies are as follows: 

Martino 617

Soria Gonzales 620

Remy 645

Robertson 425

Breech 873

Latorraca 771

Lesinski 822

While the tally includes 678 mail-in-ballots to date, it does not include any provisional ballots. The mail-in-ballot tally showed Robertson, Soria Gonzales and Martino as the high vote-getters.
