Asbury Council candidates in non-partisan virtual forum

League of Women Voters event starts at 6:30 pm on October 22

The League of Women Voters of Southern Monmouth County take their role seriously in promoting civic discourse and voter education in local government.

To that end, the group will be organizing a non-partisan forum at which the seven candidates running for three seats on the Asbury Park City Council have been invited.

From the group’s news release:

See and hear from the candidates themselves for the Asbury Park Council in a non-partisan forum, 6:30pm, Thursday, October 22nd.  Organized and moderated by the League of Women Voters of Southern Monmouth County, this virtual event will highlight the candidates’ views.  The 7 candidates, running for 3 seats, as currently listed on the Monmouth County Votes website, are:

Amy Quinn – Asbury Together
Yvonne Clayton – Asbury Together
Eileen Chapman – Asbury Together
Kerry Butch – Asbury Matters
Felicia Simmons – Asbury Matters
Robert M. McKeon – Asbury for All
Arthur Schlossbach – Businesses and Residents for Better Asbury

The Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce is the sponsor for this event and The Coaster is the Media Sponsor.
