Asbury Park announces free holiday parking schedule
Moor: “The effects of the pandemic on our business community has been devastating"
The city has announced its schedule for free parking during the holiday season.
On-street metered parking will be free 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas throughout the city.
Free parking will also be available in the Bangs Avenue garage at 605 Bangs Avenue from Friday nights through Sundays in November and December. Those hours will be Friday 6 p.m. to midnight, Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to midnight.
In addition, parking will be free Veterans Day (11/11/20), Thanksgiving Day (11/26/20), Christmas Day (12/25/20), and New Year’s Day (1/1/20).
“The effects of the pandemic on our business community has been devastating,” said Mayor John Moor “The ReOPEN Asbury Park program has allowed our businesses more outdoor space to utilize while indoor restrictions from the State are still in effect. As the weather turns colder, we hope the free holiday parking program will give visitors an incentive to visit our businesses this winter.”
