Three 18-year-old Asbury Park men were arrested and charged with attempted burglary on Jan. 9 at approximately 4:45 p.m., Asbury Park Police Captain Anthony Salerno has said.

A passerby noticed three males attempting to break into a house on Comstock Street, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, Salerno said. The police were alerted and Detective Daniel Newman responded.

Following Newman’s investigation, Jerry Hosley, 18, Daquan Johnson, 18, and Spencer Young, 18, all of Asbury Park, were arrested and charged with attempted burglary. Each was sent to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute in lieu of $25,000 bail, with no 10-percent option.

The house in question was the only one the men attempted to break into, Salerno said.

From Jan. 8 to 14, the Asbury Park Police Department made the following arrests:

• A 55-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with theft in the 300 block of Seventh Avenue.

• A 19-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats in the 300 block of Seventh Avenue.

• An 18-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats in the 300 block of Seventh Avenue.

JAN. 9

• A 27-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with possession of CDS.

• A 20-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with attempted burglary in the 1200 block of Comstock Street.

• An 18-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with attempted burglary in the 1200 block of Comstock Street.

• An 18-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with attempted burglary in the 1200 block of Comstock Street.

• A 26-year-old female from Neptune was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A 55-year-old male from Wall was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A 29-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with possession of CDS.

• A 21-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing.

• A 39-year-old male from Shrewsbury was arrested and charged with possession of CDS.

JAN. 11

• A 33-year-old male from Ocean was arrested and charged with trespassing at Boston Way Village.

• A 30-year-old male from Long Branch was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and possession of a hypodermic syringe at the intersection of First Avenue and Heck Street.

• A 23-year-old male from Freehold was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing and possession of CDS at Stephen Manor.

• A 21-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

JAN. 12

• A 30-year-old female from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

• A 22-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 19-year-old female from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 23-year-old male from Monroe was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

• A 30-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension in the 1100 block of Atlantic Avenue

JAN. 13

• A 23-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with prohibited weapons in the 1500 block of Springwood Avenue.

JAN. 14

• A 32-year-old female from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Third Avenue and Langford Street.

• A 34-year-old female from Neptune was arrested and charged with shoplifting in the 600 block of Main Street.
