The Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of the City’s Back To School Block Party fundraising event in support of the school district’s Building A Brighter Future mission.

“The City of Asbury Park is happy to announce that they are once again presenting a back to school event to help our students kick off the new school year in a wonderful and positive way,” Executive Director Sylvia Sylvia-Cioffi said. “This free event includes food, entertainment, music, fun activities and giveaways.”

Being held from noon to 4 p.m. Aug 18 at the Donald Hammary Courts on Prospect Avenue, Sylvia-Cioffi said the support of the business community helped make last year’s event a huge success.

Sponsorship are now being accepted, as outlined below:

High Honor Roll – $750 [1 spot available]

Honorary Blue Bishop – $500 (1 spot available)

Honor Roll – $250 [sold out]

Tomorrow’s Hope – $100 [2 spots left]  

Inspiration – $50 [5 spots left]
