A Surfer at Sunset in Ocean Grove
Photographer Robin Dell Maccaro's shot invites you to the beach — and maybe hum a Beach Boys classic.
Helmetta, N.J. resident Robin Dell Maccaro loves the greater Asbury area so much that she just signed a lease for an apartment in Ocean Grove. Which means more frequent photo ops for this budding photographer. During a recent visit to the fishing pier in Ocean Grove, Maccaro caught this scene of a surfer emerging from the ocean.
“When I’m in Asbury Park or Ocean Grove, I’m always on the move walking and shooting the sights, unless I’m at one of the great bars or restaurants there. Last week, I decided to spend the dusk hours by the fishing pier in Ocean Grove relaxing in a beach chair. The greyish skies brought about a multitude of silvery blues on the water and the warm temperature brought out many surfers. Surfers in wet suits always offer an opportunity for iconic beach shots and when you add in pilings the results are equal to an implied invitation to get to the beach or start humming a Beach Boys classic.”
