Allenhurst-Ocean Township PBA Deliver Christmas Spirit
Four local families were the recipients of holiday gifts
The Christmas holiday spirit was delivered to four local families by the Borough of Allenhurst-Ocean Township PBA Local 57 and the Ocean Township Police Fund, Ocean Township Det. Lt. Timothy Torchia announced Monday afternoon.
“This was something that was done on a more intimate basis,” Torchia said.
A group of police officers [shown in featured photo] reached out to the Community Hope Fund, Adopt-A-Family 2016 program to help those in need during this holiday season, Torchia said.
Officers, with a shopping list in hand, received assistance from Target employee Christopher Pateman, Torchia said.
The officers not only shopped for the gifts, they wrapped and directly delivered the presents to each of the four families.
