Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from June 10 through 27. The information is published unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
JUNE 27
• Police received a report of a bicyclist down, in the roadway, on Ocean Avenue. A check of the area found the bicyclist at Edgemont Drive and Ocean Avenue, in Loch Arbour,. The Deal PD was advised and the Allenhurst first Aid Squad transported 1 patient to a local hospital.
JUNE 28
• Police responded to the Cedar Avenue beachfront, for a report of a fisherman who insisted on fishing in the swimming lanes of the beach. Officers convinced the man he had to move, or he would be escorted off the beach. The fisherman complied with no further incident. Ptl Dave Lipari and SO Edson were the responding officers.
• Ptl Anthony Carafa & K9 Bia responded to Little Silver to assist them on a search of a vehicle. K9 Bia indicated to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle and the subsequent search of the vehicle yielded heroin, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested by Little Silver officers.
JUNE 29
• After observing a 25-year old Brooklyn man make an illegal u-turn, the subject was stopped and found to be driving while unlicensed, and with suspended privileges in NJ. He was released on summonses for improper u-turn, driving while unlicensed, and driving while suspended. Ptl Marc Eustace was the officer involved.
• Police and First Aid units responded to the Allenhurst Beach Club for a reported of a subject having respiratory problems. The First Aid squad transported 1 subject to a local hospital. Ptl Carafa and SO Whitney Molinelli were the responding officers.
JULY 3
• Police responded to residence, in the early morning hours, for a report of a possible prowler. Officers checked the exterior and interior of the house and no evidence was found there was someone in the area. Ptl Wray Burritt was the investigating officer
• Police arrested a 34-year old Eatontown woman, at the Municipal Court security checkpoint, when she was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was processed and released on a criminal summons. SO Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Scott Rapolla.
• Police were notified of a dog bite, in the area of Ocean Avenue. The patient was treated at a local hospital. The incident remains under investigation between the Police Dept and the Monmouth County Board of Health. PFC DiBona, the animal control officer, is the investigating officer.
JULY 4
• After receiving a report of a minor motor vehicle crash, near the beachfront, police responded and found no injuries and minor damage. The parties elected to handle matters amongst themselves. Ptl Carafa and SO Edson responded.
JULY 5
• After stopping a 30-year old Long Branch woman for driving with a hand-held cell phone, police also discovered she was driving on a suspended license. She was issued 2 summonses and the vehicle/keys were released to a properly licensed driver. Ptl Eustace was the investigating officer.
JULY 6
• Police responded to a 3 vehicle crash, in the intersection of Corlies/Norwood Avenues. There were no reported injuries and 1 vehicle needed to be towed away. One of the drivers was issued a summons for failure to yield right of way at an intersection. Ptl Rapolla was the investigating officer and was assisted by SO Molinelli.
• Police issued a Borough resident an Ordinance Summons, for violating the Noise Ordinance, after a complaint was received and a decibel reading was performed by the officer. PFC Michael DiBona was the investigating officer and was assisted by Ptl Carafa.
• Police responded to report of a 2 vehicle crash down by the beachfront. Upon the officers arrival, they discovered 1 of the vehicle’s had left the scene. The matter remains an open investigation, in the hopes the second vehicle will be identified. Ptl Carafa was the investigating officer.
JULY 7
• Ptl Carafa and K9 Bia assisted Deal PD with a vehicle search. After a positive indication, for the presence of narcotics, several items were taken into evidence by Deal PD.
• While on routine patrol, Ptl Rapolla was flagged down and advised of an unconscious subject on Main Street, in Loch Arbour. After advising Deal PD, officer began first aid on the subject until the arrival of Allenhurst First Aid Squad. The subject was transported to a local hospital, after being revived at the scene.
JULY 9
• Police were requested to respond to the beachfront for a juvenile custody dispute. After speaking with all involved parties, the matter was settled for the time being. Det Dave Lipari was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to a report of an unattended backpack, near a vehicle, on Main Street. After further investigation, the backpack was found to have normal/everyday items in it and it was secured as a lost or found item. Police want to remind everyone to be vigilant, and report any unattended packages, especially in the vicinity of the train tracks and/or train station.
• Ptl Carafa and K9 Bia participated in a K9 demonstration at the Ocean County Fair.
JULY 10
• Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash, where the offender left the scene. The vehicle was eventually found by officers and the female driver was issued summonses for failure to report a crash, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to exhibit a driver’s license. Ptl Lipari was the investigating officer and was assisted by Capt Schneider.
JULY 12
• While conducting a “pedestrian decoy enforcement/ education program”, police stopped a 26-year old Asbury Park woman, for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. She was also issued summonses for an overdue inspection and driving with a suspended driver’s license. The investigating officer was Capt Schneider, who was assisted by Sgt Rogers and SO Molinelli.
• While conducting the “pedestrian decoy program, police stopped a 22-year old Ocean Twp woman, when she was observed not wearing a seatbelt. She was subsequently arrested, on an outstanding warrant, out of Marlboro Township. She was processed and released, after posting cash bail. She was issued a summons for the seat belt violation. Sgt Rogers was the arresting officer, and was assisted by Capt Schneider and SO Molinelli.
• While running radar in the area, police witnessed a 2 vehicle crash, at the intersection of Corlies/Page Avenues. Although there were no injuries, the damage to 1 of the vehicles was rather extensive, resulting in it being towed from the scene. The driver of that vehicle, a 64- year old Deal man, was also issued a summons for failing to yield right of way at an intersection. Capt Schneider was the investigating officer, and was assisted by Ptl Carafa and SO Molinelli.
• After stopping a 38-year old Long Branch woman for an equipment violation, she was arrested on a criminal warrant, out of Long Branch. She was processed and released into the custody of the Long Branch PD. She was issued Allenhurst summonses for maintenance of lamps and driving with a suspended driver’s license. So Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Carafa.

• Between June 27th, and July 11th, Police responded to 6 residential and commercial alarm calls.
• Police also arrested 2 other individuals, during the above time period, for various contempt of court warrants, 1 of which was transported to Monmouth County jail, in default of bail.
