Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from July 12 through 28. The information is published unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
JULY 12
• After stopping a 38-year-old Long Branch woman for an equipment violation, she was arrested on an outstanding criminal warrant out of Long Branch. She was processed and turned over to the custody of the Long Branch PD. She was issued Allenhurst summonses for maintenance of lamps and driving with a suspended driver’s license. SO Whitney Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Anthony Carafa.
JULY 15
• Police charged a 33-year-old Asbury Park woman with driving with an expired, and suspended driver’s license, after stopping her for driving an unregistered vehicle. Ptl Scott Rapolla was the investigating officer.
JULY 17
• Police responded to a minor motor vehicle crash, at a Main Street business. There were no reported injuries and no summonses were issued. Ptl Wray Burritt was the investigating officer.
JULY 18
• While on routine patrol, officers located several vehicles that had been victim to criminal mischief. A total of three vehicles were affected. An active criminal mischief investigation was opened and police are reminding all residents to report any vehicle, that seems suspicious, immediately. Ptl Dave Lipari and Ptl Carafa were the investigating officers.
• After observing a 44-year-old bay Head woman pass 3 vehicles on the right, she was stopped and found to be driving an unregistered vehicle. She was issued summonses for having an unregistered vehicle and improper passing. Ptl Burritt was the arresting officer.
• After stopping a 32-year-old Oceanport man for speeding, he was found to be intoxicated and taken into custody without incident. He was processed and released on summonses for speeding, reckless driving, and driving while intoxicated. He was released into the custody of a responsible/sober adult and his vehicle was impounded. Ptl Carafa was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Lipari.
JULY 19
• Police stopped a 27-year-old Asbury Park man for following a vehicle too closely and then determined he never possessed a driver’s license. He was processed and released on traffic summons for tailgating and being an unlicensed driver, with a pending court date. His vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Ptl Lipari was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Carafa.
• Police responded to a trespassing incident, at the Beach Club, that occurred overnight. Minimal damage was done inside the club and the 4 subjects were caught on video surveillance equipment. The investigation is ongoing and Police are confident that the subjects will be identified. Ptl Carafa, Sgt Rogers and Capt Michael Schneider are handling the open investigation.
• Police received a report of a missing emotionally disturbed person, that may have been gotten off the train at the Allenhurst station. The person was reported to have violent tendencies when not on her medication. The subject was entered into a National database. Local jurisdictions and hospitals were notified. After further investigation, and with the cooperation of Trenton PD, the subject was found to have been admitted to a hospital in Trenton. Det Lipari handled the investigation.
JULY 20
• The dive team, from the Allenhurst Fire Dept was requested to respond to the beachfront, for a report of a boating vessel in distress. The fire department was later cancelled, when the disabled vessel was found to be at the North end of Asbury Park.
JULY 22
• Police stopped a 28-year-old Brooklyn woman for an illegal u-turn and discovered she was driving with a suspended drivers license. She was issued summons, with a pending court date, for an improper u-turn, driving while suspended, and failure to produce a current insurance document. Ptl Marc Eustace was the investigating officer and was assisted by Ptl Rapolla.
• After stopping a 25-year-old Belmar woman for an equipment violation, she was issued summonses for an obstructed license plate, driving with a suspended drivers privileges, and driving without ever having a driver’s license. Ptl Rapolla was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Eustace.
JULY 23
• While attempting to stop a vehicle, on Ocean Avenue, in Deal, an Allenhurst officer witnessed a vehicle entering Allenhurst at an extremely high rate of speed. As the vehicle entered Allenhurst, it lost control and crashed into a light pole, utility box, and ended up driving up on a nearby lawn, before coming to rest against a tree. The subject was transported to a local hospital, by the Allenhurst First Aid squad, with non-life threatening injuries. He was charged with reckless driving, failure to keep right, and driving while intoxicated. His vehicle was also impounded from the scene. Ptl Eustace was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Rapolla. Deal PD also assisted at the scene.
• Ptl Carafa and K9 Bia responded to an Asbury Park location, to assist with a vehicle search, for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. Upon his arrival, he was notified he was no longer needed.
JULY 24
• Police arrested a 30-year-old Long Branch woman, after stopping her vehicle. She was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license and the vehicle was uninsured. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was released on summonses, with a pending court appearance. SO Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Capt Schneider.
• Officers found three juveniles trespassing in the area of the Borough water tower. They were advised of the penalties they could face and were released at the scene. Their parents were all notified by officers. Chief Richter, Capt Schneider, and SO Molinelli responded
JULY 25
• After stopping a 36-year-old Virginia woman on a motor vehicle stop, she was charged with having an overdue inspection sticker, an unregistered vehicle, and driving unlicensed, without ever having a license. She was released on summonses, with a pending court date. Ptl Burritt was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to a report of a dog bite that occurred on Main Street. A small child was bitten by a leashed dog. The dog owner was identified, the Monmouth County Board of Health was advised, and the matter remains open. Ptl Burritt was the investigating officer.
JULY 26
• After stopping a 26-year-old Asbury Park man on a motor vehicle stop, he was arrested on an outstanding warrant, out of Loch Arbour. He was processed and released, after posting full cash bail. Ptl Lipari was the arresting officer.
• During the early morning hours, officers responded to a report of suspicious persons trespassing on Beach Club property. The three adults were all strongly warned about trespassing and sent on their way. Ptl Lipari and SO Hockin were the responding officers.
• Police responded to a reported heated argument at Spier/Norwood Avenues. The concerned parties were separated upon the officers arrival and the matter was settled while officers were on scene. There were no charges filed against any of the involved persons. Sgt Rogers and SO Molinelli were the responding officers.
• After stopping a 26-year-old East Brunswick man for a stop sign violation, he was also charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was processed and released on two summonses, with a pending court date. Sgt Rogers was the investigating officer.
• After observing a juvenile subject acting suspiciously, on Main Street, police subsequently took three juveniles into custody, when it was discovered they were attempting to purchase alcohol, at a nearby establishment, using false identification. All three juveniles were processed and released to an adult guardian, with charges pending in Family Superior Court, in Freehold. Ptl Lipari was the arresting officer, and was assisted by Ptl Eustace and SO Molinelli.
JULY 27
• Police took a report of a stolen unlocked bicycle that was taken from the beachfront. The victim was advised of what information was needed, in order to enter the bicycle into the system as stolen. Police are reminding all residents to lock bicycles at all times. Most bicycle thefts are preventable with the use of a proper bicycle lock. Ptl Rapolla took the report.
JULY 28
• During the early morning hours, officers responded to an Allen Avenue residence, along with the Allenhurst Fire Department, for a report of the home being struck by lightning. The residence was thoroughly checked and it was found that no lightning strike had occurred. Ptl Eustace & Ptl Rapolla were the responding officers.

• Between July 12, and July 28, Police responded to eight residential and commercial alarm calls. During this same time period, officers investigated three other motor vehicle crashes.
