Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from September 5 through 22. The information is edited to meet Associated Press Stylebook standards but is published otherwise unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
SEPT 5
• After stopping a 51-year-old Asbury Park man for a motor vehicle violation, he was arrested when he was found to be a wanted person, out of Monmouth County Superior Court. He was processed and turned over to officers from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department. He was issued Allenhurst traffic summonses for failure to inspect and driving with a suspended driver’s license. Class II Special Officer Whitney Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Capt. Michael Schneider.
• Officers checked on a suspicious person, in the area of the railroad station. The intoxicated subject was known to officers and was transported to his residence in West Allenhurst. No charges were filed. Molinelli was the investigating officer and was assisted by Schneider and Class II Special Officer Michael Hockin.
SEPT 7
• Police responded to the beach area, for a report of a person being disorderly and refusing to leave, after being asked to, by the beach staff. Officers escorted the subject off the beach, with no charges being filed. Patrolman Michael DiBona and Class II Special Officer Sean Edson were the responding officers.
• After stopping a 44-year-old Shrewsbury woman for an equipment violation, police arrested her on an outstanding Eatontown warrant. She was processed and released, after posting full cash bail and was issued an Allenhurst traffic summons for having improper or no mirrors. Patrolman Scott Rapolla was the arresting officer and was assisted by Patrolman Anthony Carafa.
SEPT 10
• Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief to a residence on Spier Avenue. The incident involves landscaping that was damaged by unknown person(s). Police are reminding all residents to immediately report any suspicious persons or any suspicious incidents, as the timeliness of these reports helps police better investigate them.
• After a further investigation into fraudulent documents, being submitted to the Municipal Court, police arrested a 34-year-old Eatontown woman. She was charged with three felony counts of uttering a forged document and one count of forgery by altering a document. She was processed and released, after posting 10 percent cash option on her bail amount. Detective David Lipari was the investigating and arresting officer.
SEPT 11
• Police responded to an Allen Avenue residence for a report of a suspicious person. The homeowner came home and found two subjects on the property. They were identified by responding officers and it was determined they were looking closely at the landscape lighting. They were strongly advised about trespassing on private property. Carafa was the investigating officer.
SEPT 12
• Carafa and K-9 Officer Bia assisted Red Bank police in the search of a vehicle. After a positive indication for narcotics, the vehicle was impounded by Red Bank police, pending a search warrant.
SEPT 13
• Police located a woman at the intersection of Corlies and Ocean avenues who had fallen off her bicycle and needed medical attention. The Allenhurst First Aid Squad responded and transported the woman to a local hospital. Sergeant James Rogers was the investigating officer.
• After receiving a report of a disturbance at the gas station on Main Street, police responded and found the attendant had been assaulted by two subjects, after a dispute. The subjects were identified and each was charged with simple assault. A follow up investigation determined the currency, which was given to the attendant, was counterfeit. Additional felony charges were filed against the female in this case. Carafa was the investigating officer.
SEPT 14
• After stopping a vehicle for driving erratically, police discovered the 30-year-old Asbury Park driver never had a driver’s license. He was processed and released on summonses for failure to keep right and driving while unlicensed. His vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Rapolla was the arresting officer and was assisted by Carafa.
SEPT 15
• Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle, parked in front of a residence. Officers determined the occupants of the vehicle were having a verbal argument and pulled to the side of the road. They were checked for warrants, and sent on their way. Ptl Eustace & Ptl Rapolla were the responding officers.
• After stopping a 34-year old Asbury Park female for a motor vehicle violation, police arrested her, on an outstanding warrant, out of Tinton Falls. She was processed and released on her own recognizance, per Tinton Falls. She was issued an Allenhurst summons for driving with a suspended license and released with a pending court date. Rapolla was the arresting officer and was assisted by Patrolman Marc Eustace.
SEPT 17
• Police are investigating a theft, from a motor vehicle, that occurred while the vehicle was parked at the beachfront. The vehicle was unlocked, and had its windows open, when the reported theft occurred. DiBona is the investigating officer.
SEPT 18
• Police charged a 22-year-old Long Branch woman with driving with a suspended license after stopping he r vehicle for an equipment violation. She was released at the scene on summonses, with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Patrolman Wray Burritt was the arresting officer and was assisted by Carafa.
SEPT 21
• Police responded to a report of a swimmer in distress, off the Allenhurst beach. When officers arrived, the swimmer was already being helped into shore, by several surfers that were nearby. The subject refused medical attention and was strongly advised against swimming when lifeguards are not on duty. Eustace and Edson were the responding officers.

Between September 5th, and September 22nd, police responded to nine residential and commercial alarm calls. Officers also responded to five noise complaints during this same time period. There were also two incidents, where police assisted a nearby agency, on mutual aid calls. Also, during this same time period, officers arrested four other individuals on various contempt of court warrants.
