Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from September 22 through October 3. The information is edited to meet Associated Press Stylebook standards but is published otherwise unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
SEPT 22
• Police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Allen Avenue, at the train tracks. Officers checked the area and the subject was not located. Patrolman Michael DiBona and Chief Robert C. Richter were the responding officers.
SEPT 24
• Patrolman Anthony Carafa and K-9 Bia conducted in service training with the Brick Twp. Police Dept.
• After a follow up investigation, into a previously reported dog bite, a summons complaint was issued to an Allenhurst resident for an injury caused by a domestic animal. The dog’s owner has a pending court date. DiBona, the police department’s animal control officer, was the investigating officer.
• Officers responded to a local residence to investigate a report of someone believed to be in the house. The officers checked the entire house and found no one inside. The homeowner was advised. Patrolman Wray Burritt and Class II Special Officer Whitney Molinelli were the responding officers.
SEPT 27
• Police responded to a Main Street apartment, for a report of a subject who had been assaulted and cut with a knife. When officers arrived, they determined the assault had taken place in Asbury Park and the victim had walked home afterwards. The Allenhurst First Aid Squad responded, but the victim refused medical attention at the scene, and chose to be driven to the hospital by a friend. Patrolman Marc Eustace and Patrolman Scott Rapolla were the responding officers.
SEPT 28
• Officers responded to a Corlies Avenue residence, on a report of a noise complaint. While addressing this complaint, several individuals ran away from the location. The responding officers were able to catch and identify the four subjects that had fled the scene. The matter is being turned over to Monmouth University officials for follow up. Eustace and Rapolla were the responding officers.
SEPT 30
• After observing a vehicle driving erratically, officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the 27-year-old Long Branch man for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested, processed, and eventually released into the custody of a responsible, sober adult, after spending some time in police custody. He was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated [DWI], reckless driving, failure to keep right, refusal to provide breath samples, failure to exhibit a current insurance card, and failure to have a current address with the state Department of Motor Vehicles. His vehicle was also impounded. Detective David Lipari was the arresting officer and was assisted by Rapolla.
OCT 1
• Police responded to a Spier Avenue address on the report of an unconscious male. Officer assisted the Allenhurst First Aid Squad, who transported the subject to a local hospital. Burritt was the responding officer.
OCT 3
• After stopping a 33-year-old Wanamassa woman for a motor vehicle violation, police arrested her when they discovered she was driving without insurance. She was processed and released on summonses for failure to display an inspection sticker and driving while uninsured, both with a pending court date. Her vehicle was also impounded. Capt. Michael Schneider was the arresting officer and was assisted by Molinelli.
OCT 4
• Police arrested a 37-year-old Asbury Park man for driving while intoxicated, after stopping his vehicle for driving erratically. He was processed and released on traffic summonses for DWI, reckless driving, failure to keep right, and refusal to submit to breath tests. His vehicle was also impounded. Lipari was the arresting officer.
• Police arrested a 27-year-old Eatontown man, after stopping his vehicle. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Howell Township. He was processed and released on his own recognizance, as per Howell police. There were no local charges filed. Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Rapolla.

Between Sept. 21, and Oct. 3rd, police responded to eight residential and commercial alarm calls.
Also, during this same time period, officers arrested four other individuals on various contempt of court warrants, one of which was transported to the Monmouth County Jail, in default of bail.
