Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from Oct. 19 through Nov. 6. The information is edited to meet Associated Press Stylebook standards but is published otherwise unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
OCT 21
• After stopping a 31-year-old Neptune man for an equipment violation, he was subsequently found driving with a suspended drivers license. He was processed and released, on motor vehicle summonses. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Patrolman Marc Eustace was the investigating officer.
OCT 22
• While on patrol, officers observed a vehicle, parked at a residence, that was supposed to be unoccupied. Officers checked the residence and found a subject inside the residence. A check with the property owner revealed the subject was allowed to be on location. The officers involved were patrolmen Wray Burritt and Eustace.
• Eustace and K-9 Bia conducted in-service training with Toms River police.
• While on patrol, officer observed a vehicle crash into a landscaping wall, near the beachfront. When the officer attempted to direct the driver to the side of the road, the elderly man drove up onto the boardwalk. The officer was able to stop the vehicle and prevent the driver from moving any further. The vehicle was parked on the side street and a cab was called for the elderly couple, to take them home safely. A crash report was completed and the matter remains under investigation. Patrolman Michael DiBona was the investigating officer.
OCT 24
• Police took a report of a theft that occurred from an unlocked, partially open vehicle which was parked on the beachfront. A couple of hours later, some of the victim’s personal belongings were found on the ground in Loch Arbour. Police are following up on several leads, including possible video in the area, and possible latent fingerprints from the vehicle. Burritt took the report and was assisted by DiBona.
OCT 26
• After stopping a 25-year-old Brooklyn man for speeding during the early morning hours, police also also charged him with reckless driving, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was given roadside field sobriety tests, which he passed. He was released on summonses. Patrolman David Lipari was the investigating officer and was assisted by Patrolman Scott Rapolla.
• Police arrested a 23-year-old Asbury Park man after stopping his vehicle for a motor vehicle violation. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest, out of Asbury Park. He was processed and released, after posting full cash bail. He was also issued an Allenhurst summons for driving with an expired registration on his vehicle. Eustace was the arresting officer.
OCT 27
• Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with no injuries at the beachfront. A report was generated and both vehicles were driven from the scene. Eustace was the investigating officer.
OCT 28
• After stopping a 55-year-old Spring Lake Heights man for using a handheld cell phone while driving, he was arrested on an active warrant, out of North Brunswick. He was also found to be driving with a suspended drivers license and driving an unregistered vehicle. He was processed and released, after posting full cash bail. He was issued three Allenhurst summonses, with a pending court date. Eustace was the arresting officer.
• Police responded to the intersection of Main Street and Allen Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers confirmed the argument was only verbal, and at no time was it physical. The subjects were advised and sent on their way. Sergeant James Rogers and Patrolman Rapolla were the responding officers.
OCT 29
After stopping a 38-year-old Asbury Park woman for an equipment violation, police discovered she was driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was issued summonses for maintenance of lamps and driving while suspended, with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Eustace was the investigating officer.
OCT 30
• After stopping a 27-year old Asbury Park man, for a motor vehicle violation, he was charged with driving while suspended and driving without insurance. He also received traffic summons for driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and driving without a license. The vehicle was impounded. The registered owner of the vehicle was also issued three traffic summonses for allowing a vehicle with a suspended registration to be operated, allowing an uninsured vehicle to be operated, and allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle. Capt. Michael Schneider was the investigating officer.
NOV 2
• Police responded to a report of a vehicle that was damaged overnight, while it was parked in the street. The matter remains under investigation. Rogers was the responding officer.
• Police took a report of a theft of a landscaping item, which was near the street. Rapolla is the investigating officer and the matter remains an open matter. A bulk pick up was in the process of being done and police believe the it may have been taken inadvertently.
NOV 3
• After stopping a 23-year-old Long Branch woman, for a motor vehicle violation, police detained her, when she was found to be a wanted person, out of Texas. Officers spoke with the law enforcement officials in Texas, who advised to release her, due to her extradition paperwork not being completed. She was advised and released on a traffic summons for operating an unregistered vehicle. Rapolla was the investigating officer and was assisted by Schneider.
NOV 5
After stopping a 23-year-old Bradley Beach man for a motor vehicle violation, police charged him with driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was processed and released on a summons, with a pending court date. Burritt was the investigating officer and was assisted by Rapolla.
NOV 6
During the early morning hours, a residence under construction was found open. Officers checked the interior of the home and nothing was found out of order. The door was believed to be locked improperly and opened by the wind. Burritt was the investigating officer.

Between Oct. 19, and Nov. 6, police responded to seven residential and commercial alarm calls.
The Allenhurst Police Dept also had three instances of assisting another agency during this time period.
