Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from Jan. 3 through 17. The information is published unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
JAN 3
• After stopping a 32-year-old Asbury Park woman, for an equipment violation, she was found to have a suspended driver’s license. She was processed and released on summonses for maintenance of lamps and driving while suspended, with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Patrolman Wray Burritt was the investigating officer.
• After stopping a 28-year-old Ocean Township man for speeding, he was found to have a suspended license. He was processed and released on summonses for speeding and driving while suspended, with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Burritt was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to the train station for a 911 call, reporting a dispute between a cab driver and their fare. Officers responded and found no one at the train station. Sergeant James Rogers & Patrolman Scott Rapolla were the responding officers.
JAN 6
• After stopping a 30-year-old Long Branch man for equipment violations, police observed the smell of burnt marijuana inside the vehicle. The vehicle was searched and no contraband was located inside the vehicle. The man was released with no charges filed. Patrolman Marc Eustace was the investigating officer and was assisted by Sgt. Rogers.
• Police began an investigation into an online threat made against one of the department’s officers. In light of all the recent events across the country, the threat is being taken very seriously and the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office was also contacted. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed yet.
JAN 8
• After a follow up investigation into a previous motor vehicle stop, police charged a 26-year-old Ocean Township woman with hindering her own apprehension, by providing false information to a police officer, on June 21, 2014. She was also issued summonses for failure to keep right, failure to exhibit her driver’s license, failure to inspect vehicle, and driving with a suspended driver’s license. Her complaints were entered into the system and the subject remains at large. Burritt was the officer who signed the complaints.
JAN 9
• After stopping a 42-year-old Asbury Park woman, on a motor vehicle stop, she was found to be driving unlicensed (without ever having a license). She was issued a summons, with a pending court date, and the vehicle was turned over to a properly licensed individual. The registered owner of the vehicle also was issued a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle. Captain Michael Schneider was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to a Corlies Avenue residence for a report of a broken water pipe. The Allenhurst Fire Department also responded. The fire department was able to shut off the water to the house and there was significant damage done to the interior of the home. Patrolman David Lipari and Capt. Schneider were the responding officers.
• Police responded to a two-vehicle crash, at the intersection of Main Street and Corlies Avenue. There were
no reported injuries and one of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene. There were no summonses
issued to either driver.
JAN 10
• Police located a potential fire hazard, at a home under construction. The immediate hazard was remedied by officers on location and the matter was turned over to the Allenhurst Fire Official for follow up.
JAN 12
• Police responded to a domestic disturbance in town. Both parties were questioned by officer and sent on their way, due to the matter being resolved and no physical contact between the 2 parties. The officer dealt with these same 2 subject 1 more time, approximately 1 hour later, and again, the matter was resolved, with the assistance of the officer. Sgt. Rogers was the investigating officer both times.
JAN 14
• Police responded to the train station for a report of a dispute between the train conductor and a passenger. The matter was settled, with the assistance of the officer and the rider got on another train. Patrolman Michael DiBona was the responding officer.
JAN 15
• While in Municipal Court on unrelated charges, police arrested a 32-year old Asbury Park woman, on an active warrant, out of Freehold Twp. She was turned over to Freehold Twp officers, in default of bail, and transported to the Monmouth County Jail. Lipari was the arresting officer and was assisted by Special Officer Whitney Molinelli.
JAN 17
• After overhearing an dispute between a cab driver and his passengers, in Loch Arbour, police took 3 subjects into custody, when they were seen walking in Allenhurst. The subjects were turned over to the Deal officers. Rapolla and Burritt were the involved officers.
• After stopping a 51-year old Bridgewater woman for an equipment violation, she was found to be driving without insurance. She was issued summonses for maintenance of lamps, driving while uninsured, and driving with a suspended driver’s license. Her vehicle was also impounded. She was processed and released with a pending court date. Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Capt. Schneider.

Between Jan. 2 – 17, Allenhurst police responded to 6 residential and commercial alarm calls.
During this period of time, Allenhurst officers also arrested 4 other individual on various contempt of court warrants, 2 of which were committed to the Monmouth County Jail.
The Allenhurst Police Dept also had 6 instances of assisting another agency during this time period.
