Below is the Allenhurst Police Department crime reports from October 19 to November 12:
OCT 19
• A 911 call in reference to a dispute between tenants at a Hume Street residence was resolved without any filed complaints. Ptl. Eustace was assisted by Ptl. Rapolla and Lipari.
OCT 21
• A warning in reference to “scam” telephone calls was made after two separate residents filed complaints. Residents are asked to report any calls that seem to be questionable, regardless of identifying agency.
OCT 22
• An unidentified driver was issued two summonses, including driving a vehicle with a suspended registration, after a motor vehicle stop conducted by Ptl. Carafa.
• An investigation continues into a possible bicycle theft following a suspicious person stop involving a 46-year-old Neptune man. Ptl Carafa was the involved officer.
OCT 23
• While conducting a house check, officers discovered damage was done to the vacant home. An investigation was conducted by Chief Richter, Capt. Schneider, Ptl Carafa, and K9 Bia.
• An investigation into a package delivery dispute to a Cedar Avenue residence remains open. Ptl. Carafa was the responding officer.
• A 37-year-old Asbury Park man was charged with driving while unlicensed [never having a license] following a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released on a summons, with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed passenger. Ptl. Burritt was the involved officer.
OCT 24
• A 35-year-old Lakewood man was charged with driving while suspended, driving while unlicensed [never having a license], and maintenance of lamps following a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation. He was processed and released on summonses, with a pending court date. The vehicle was turned over to a properly licensed driver. Ptl. Burritt was assisted by Sgt. Rogers.
OCT 25
• Four Allen Avenue tenants were charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of loud subjects along the street. After officers found a large college party ongoing inside the residence, back up officers from Deal Police Department and the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department responded. Officers shut down the party and stayed on scene until the majority of subjects left. The matter remains under investigation and Monmouth University was contacted. Ptl. Burritt and Sgt. Rogers were the responding Allenhurst officers.
• An investigation into a suspicious persons report at an Elberon Avenue home revealed the individuals on the property were doing approved work. Ptl. Rapolla and DiBona responded.
• During an investigation into a suspicious person in the vicinity of the train station, officers found a highly intoxicated male in need of medical attention. Allenhurst First Aid transported the male to an area hospital. Ptl. DiBona and Rapolla investigated.
OCT 27
• A late night suspicious person investigation at a Lake Drive residence resulted in officers locating a lost person in the vicinity of the train station. The female was transported to her local destination. Sgt. Rogers and Ptl. Eustace investigated.
OCT 29
• A 46-year-old woman found partially disrobed and extremely intoxicated was turned over to her husband’s care after police responded to a disorderly person report near the train station. The woman as evaluated at the scene by Allenhurst First Aid Squad.
OCT 30
• No injuries were reported during a minor two-vehicle crash along Main Street. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Ptl. DiBona investigated.
NOV 1
• A 28-year-old intoxicated Brick man was transported to Asbury Park and released into the custody of a friend after officers observed him stumbling along Main Street. Ptl. Carafa was assisted by Ptl. Rapolla.
• Officers transported an intoxicated 21-year-old Franklin Park resident to a Long Branch location after they observed the person walking ‘in an intoxicated manner’ along Norwood Avenue. Ptl, Rapolla was assisted by Ptl. Carafa.
NOV 2
• A criminal mischief report filed for an Elberon Avenue remains under investigation. Ptl. DiBona investigated.
Officers conducted an investigation for latent fingerprints at Main Street business reporting a theft occurred within the past two months. Chief Richter and Capt. Schneider investigated.
NOV 7
• A 34-year-old Long Branch man observed walking behind a residence was charged with trespassing, processed and released on a summons, with a pending court date. Ptl. Lipari was assisted by Deal Police Department.
NOV 8
• A 23-year-old Long Branch man was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to keep right, having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, and driving while unlicensed [never having a license] following a motor vehicle stop. He also was charged with being in possession of a false government document for a fraudulent social security card found in his possession during processing. He was released after posting a full cash bail and the vehicle was impounded. Ptl. Rapolla was assisted by Sgt. Rogers and a Spanish speaking officer from Neptune Police Department.
NOV 11
• A 25-year-old Asbury Park woman was charged with driving while suspended following a motor vehicle stop. She was processed and released on a summons, with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Ptl. Lipari was the arresting officer.
NOV 12
• An investigation into harassing telephone calls being made to a resident remains open by Det. Lipari.
From Oct 19 to Nov. 12, police responded to nine residential and commercial alarm calls; eight borough ordinance violations; six noise related complaints; arrested two other individuals on contempt of court warrants, with one of them transported to Monmouth County Jail in default of bail; and had four instances of assisting another agency.
