An Adriatic Reunion
Owner Stanley Tokic and his wife Marianna will be in attendance
A reunion will be held Thursday for former Adriatic Restaurant patrons, now Kim Marie’s Eat and Drink away at 1409 Kingsley Street.
Organizers are inviting anyone who has ever ‘had a drink or ordered a Steak Stanley’ to come by the 5 p.m. Happy Hour event at Kim Marie’s.
Owner and chef Stanley Tokic and his wife Marianna will be in attendance.
The Adriatic was open for 30 years in the former 1960s and 70s club called the Sunset Lounge, and like many city venues, it had its share of famous patrons.
The landmark venue became The Adriatic Restaurant in 1981, serving continental cuisine with a Mediterranean flare.
By 2012, the venue was sold to local restaurateur John McGillion [Johny Mac’s owner] and was transformed into Kim Marie’s Eat and Drink Away.
