An Evening Of Art Planned In Asbury Park’s Downtown
Three Exhibits Open Saturday Along Cookman And Bangs Avenues
In celebrating Exhibit No. 9’s fourth anniversary, the collaborative husband and wife team behind the gallery will debut It’s A Shore Thing on Saturday.
“We sincerely thank all of our patrons and clients for four wonderful and successful years,” Lois and Tom White [shown in feature photo] wrote in a joint statement. “It’s a joy and a privilege to work with you, our artists, clients and arts community.”
The couple, both designers and artists, are known for their photo-based new media work, and their founder’s exhibit features a series of projects directly related to Asbury Park.
An opening reception will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, with the show running through July 30. The gallery is located at 550 Cookman Avenue. For more about the couple, their work, and the gallery, click here.
Further up Cookman Avenue Parlor Gallery launches Anything You Can Do…The exhibit celebrates art created by women through an array of genres and mediums.
“As one of the only solely woman-owned and curated galleries in New Jersey, Parlor Gallery has decided to balance the lack of representation and exposure of female artists and present an all women’s exhibit at least once a year,” the show’s description reads.
