One of the regions largest farmers & makers market group returns next month with a new location in Freehold Raceway Mall being added to its Asbury Park, Pier Village, and Bell Works sites.

Being held in conjunction with Freehold Raceway Mall’s summer concert series, the seven-week summer pop will feature a curated roster of 40 of the regions best farms, food purveyors and handmade artisans, organizers said. The series will run 5 to 8:30 pm Tuesdays from July 2 to August 13.

“The partnership is a natural fit for both us and the mall,” Asbury Fresh Market founder Bret Morgan said. “It allows us to expand our footprint in a new community as well as helps the Freehold Mall team offer locally produced foods and goods to their customer base.”

Past summer concert series held at the mall have attracted upwards of 1000 attendees coming to hear bands such as The Nerds, The B-Street Band, and other Jersey Shore favorites.

Fresh Markets is the expansion of Asbury Fresh, which launched in 2012 at Kennedy Park in Asbury Park. What began with eight vendors has grown to include over 60 curated farmers and artisans who offer everything from baked goods, handmade jewelry and soaps, and produce to home décor items and plants.

Last year, they launched Bellworks Fresh, a year-round market at Bell Works in Holmdel, currently running 1 to 6 pm Wednesdays and featuring over 50 local vendors.

“Our Bell Works market has continued to rapidly grow all winter and we’re completely in awe with how the local community has embraced us.”  General Manager Brian Sienkiewicz said.

Asbury Fresh will return for its eighth season on May 12; running from 10 am to 3 pm Sundays through June 2 prior to its summer schedule.

Pier Village Fresh returns on May 11; running initially from 11 am to 4 pm Saturdays in Festival Plaza in Long Branch

Both Asbury Fresh and Pier Village Fresh are seasonal markets that run well into the fall.
