A 58-year-old city man died Saturday after being struck by a car along Route 71, near its intersection with Route 33 in Neptune, Monmouth County Prosecutor Charles Webster said.
No charges have been filed against the 44-year-old driver, a Wall resident, Webster said in a news release.

The operator and sole occupant of his 1999 Honda Accord, was traveling north on State Highway 71 near 6:30 p.m., when he struck a pedestrian who was crossing the highway there from west to east.
The pedestrian was within the right northbound lane of the highway when he was struck.
Webster said Tobia sustained immediate traumatic injuries. He was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:09 p.m.
An investigation is being conducted by the Serious Collision Analysis Response Team of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office in conjunction with the Neptune Township Police Department.
