Asbury Park Holds Reorganizational Meeting
Budgetary Matters, Committee & Consultant Appointment On Agenda
The Asbury Park City Council will reorganize for the new year during a 7 p.m. open public meeting in Council Chambers, located at 1 Municipal Plaza.
On the agenda are budgetary matters and appointments of various law firm, consultants, staff responsibilities, as well as board and committee member assignments.
Among them are the newly reformed Public Art Commission, which will be comprised of Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, Director of Planning and Redevelopment Michele Alonso, Restaurateur Marilyn Schlossbach, Parlor Gallery’s Jenn Hampton, art629 Gallery’s Patrick Schiavino, Heaven Gallery’s Malcolm Navias, ShowRoom’s Michael Sodano, and residents Ellen Gaynor and Andrew Pawlan.
The Asbury Park TV Committee sees the appointment of Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, Drew Chiminec, Jessica Alaimo, The Coaster’s Ed Salvas, Madison Marquette’s Adam Nelson, and Nate McCallister.
On the Recreation Advisory Committee Councilman Jesse Kendle, Councilwoman Eileen Chapman, Leesha Floyd,Esther Piekarski, Toran Jordan, Angeline Brown, Angela Anderson, Douglas Eagles, and Jessie Ricks sign on for terms ending Dec 31.
The Parking Advisory Committee sees yearlong appointments of Mayor John Moor, Transportation Manager Michael Manzella, Officer Gene Dello, Barbara Krzak, Maggie Quinton, William West, Cowerks’ Bret Morgan, Amber Cunha, and Jordan Modell.
The Code Enforcement/Quality of Life Committee appointments include Councilwoman Yvonne Clayton, Councilwoman Eileen Chapman, Director of Property Improvement and Neighborhood Preservation Rob McKeon, Elli Kaymakcian, Hannah Walker, Norman Robertson, Trudy Syphax, Rita Williams, Kareen Kircher, Asbury Park Housing Authority Chairman Greg Hopson, Bonnie Barrett, and Melanie Chongolola-Nestor.
On the Business Advisory Committee are Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, City Manager Michael Capabianco, Jenn Hampton, Bianca Freda, Kathy Kelly, Lesley Castellini, Marilyn Schlossbach, Russell Lewis, Reggie Flimlin, Jackie Sharpe, Larry Dembrun, Phyllis Buttitta-Maffucci, Isaac Jones, Adam Nelson, and Chamber Director Sylvia Sylvia-Cioffi.
The City’s Budget Advisory Committee will consist of City Manager Michael Capabianco or his designee, Mayor John Moor, Councilwoman Eileen Chapman, Barbara Krzak, Robert Leitner, and Donna Vieiro.
The Community Development Block Grant Committee includes Mayor John Moor, Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, Cassandra Dickerson, Leesha Floyd, Janice Molloy, Susan Mayard, and Patrick Jaquinto.
And, on the Mayor’s Wellness Committee there will be Mayor John Moor, Michael Manzella, a City Manager representative, EZ Rides Lisa Lee, Wendi Glassman, Allison Cerco, Vishal Sood, Lena Siddiqi, and Boys and Girls Club’s Douglas Eagles.
