Asbury Park Spring Bazaar Celebrates Mother’s Day
Musicians & Artisans Converge During Noon to 5 pm May 11 & 12 Event Inside Convention Hall
Asbury Park Bazaar returns next month with its annual spring and Mother’s Day weekend celebration inside Convention Hall, located at 1300 Ocean Ave on the AP Boardwalk.
This year, the noon to 5 pm May 11 and 12 curated event features over 100 handcraft and vintage vendors offering everything from handcrafted jewelry and art to home goods. There’s a flower and photo booth, hair styling, henna tattoos, live music, DJs, an array of workshops, kids art classes, and even a Mother’s Day brunch, founder Jenny Vickers Chyb said. Metta Yoga and Tar Romano offer a Yoga and Zumba party, while See Spot Rescued, a Jersey City-based foster rescue program will host the adopt a pet info-station.
Held in partnership with Asbury Park Boardwalk, The Anchor’s Bend and Asbury Oyster Bar, the event entertainment and workshop highlights include:
Saturday, May 11:
Music – Viva L’Acoustica Show With Acoustic Sets kicks off at noon with August and Oak. At 1 pm Amy Malkoff of Lyons takes the stage, followed by a 2 pm performance from Collin J Rocker of Old Lady. The afternoon winds down with a 3 pm show from Renee Maskin of Lowlight. DJ Foggy Notion spins from 1 to 5 pm inside the Grand Arcade.
Workshops – From noon to 1 pm Cassie Bees Studio offers Paint Your Fur Baby; from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Legit Oils offers a Spring Wellness Workshop: Essential Oil Roller Blends; and from 3 to 4 pm join Amber & Earth for their Spring Wreath Workshop.
Sunday, May 12
Music – There will be a Bluegrass Set by Brian Molnar and Slow Rolling Low; and from 1 to 5 pm DJ Prestige spins funk, soul, jazz, hip hop, reggae, and few assorted treats.
Workshops – Sun Dog Studio hosts a noon to 1 pm Jewelry Design Workshop; from 1:30 to 2:30 Brighter Days NJ offers a Spring Candle Making Workshop; and from 3 to 4 pm Tripsy Shop hosts the DIY Crescent Moon Dream Catcher Workshop.
